OIL PAINTINGS
"All my creations derive from my passion for the soul: to ignite colour and life into all I create. My oil paintings are no exception and painting with oils is my one true love when it comes to making art. Oil painting has a physicality to it - an essence and richness - that captures the soul like nothing else. Whether it's through a portrait or landscape, oils have this energy about them that inspires me to paint.
The canvases below are pieces from 2021 - date. My work that has shifted and grown over the course of many years, through studying fine Art at university between 2020-23, and living in different places. Throughout my movements and travels over the years, I've made a studio, and am currently creating a new series of work that feels the most 'soulful' yet.
Previous work has explored particular themes of 'romanticism', 'connection to nature' & 'the self', themes that are still prevalent in my work, yet lie amongst the new framework I have set for myself: to create paintings that display humanity, light and the essence of life now. The global political climate, with regards to current unrest in various countries, the disparity of the UK (where I am from), and the ongoing battle for balance with our wild habitats, are all core threads that weave their way into everything I am creating as I write this (early 2026).
I hope my work inspires you, moves you, lifts you. Inspires you to keep the door open to the possibilities of a beautiful life. I've been painting murals since 2020, transforming spaces with large scale, hand painted artworks. I love mural work: it brings so much potential to a space. It allows a room to be more than just the 4 walls that hold you. It can be a space to uplift, one to calm, a space to provide inspiration or contemplation. Murals are a powerful tool to bring people into your business too: the attractive nature of large scale artwork directly on your walls drives increased footfall, and invites people to stay in your premises, feeling inspired and refreshed.
