About
My name is Jasmine Dawn Sky
An avid creative, Jasmine is radically defining her path as an artist 'for the soul', she aims to bring more life, light and colour to the creative industry.
Jasmine studied Fine Art at university graduating with a 1st Class Degree with Honours. Pursuing inspiration for her work, Jasmine lived in Cornwall for 1 year, later travelled the East Coast of Australia, the South Island of Aotearoa (New Zealand) and Thailand with her sisters. She returned to the UK to complete 4 major mural projects partnering with NHS Charities.
Inspired to explore life on the road, she self-converted a van with her friend and lived out of it across 8 countries in Europe, igniting a selection of paintings, songs and written work.
Jasmine's work as an oil painter stems from her desire to see more 'soul' expressed in the world. Her artwork flows with the energy of the Earth: with vibrant colours and rich compositions, Jasmine aims to show that 'soul' can be found everywhere, you need only to look. This 'essence of life' translates into her film making [a travel film maker, vlogger and content creator], photography [travel and portrait photography], and music [singer-songwriter of folk, soul and jazz music].
As well as writing her own music, Jasmine writes poetry, academic essays and exhibition reviews. Writing about art is one of Jasmine's big passions, with her review of Andrew Salgado's 'Tomorrow Will be Perfect' Exhibition at Saatchi Gallery, London, gaining recognition from the artist himself. Jasmine's substack profile documents her writings on art, philosophy, and current topics of global importance. Her written work can also be found on the blog page on this site.
